In order for us to help you with any benefit related query make sure that you have all the paperwork and personal information with you that you will need. If you are unsure what you may need please do call the CommuniCare office before you come and we will advise you of what to bring.

UNIVERSAL CREDIT

Reading is a full service area for UC. The Qualifying Benefits are:
Income Support, Income based JSA, Income based ESA, Housing Benefit, Child Tax Credit, Working Tax Credit.

Making an application for Universal Credit:. https://www.gov.uk/apply-universal-credit

When applying you need to VERIFY your Universal Credit account. Details on how this works can be seen here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/introducing-govuk-verify/introducing-govuk-verify

If you are ALREADY RECEIVING one of the qualifying benefits you will continue receiving it.
From Feb/March if you make any changes to your benefits you will be moved on to UC.

Full change over will start At the end of 2019
